ERROR CODE LIST – Main Controller Error (6)
Lift Height Control / Speed Limitation / Position Correction Errors (67-1 to 71-1)
WELCOME TO TAS FL!
In this article, we explain main controller–related error codes displayed on
Toyota electric forklifts (8FB10–8FB20 series), focusing on
lift height control, travel limitation, and position correction errors (67-1 to 71-1).
These error codes are related to advanced safety control logic, such as:
- How high the mast can be lifted
- How fast the truck can travel
- Whether automatic control and correction functions operate properly
Even if the forklift does not stop completely, speed limitations, lift height restrictions, or automatic stop functions may be activated when these errors occur.
Indicator Lamp Meanings
- Wrench light flashing
→ A fault has been detected, and the system is limiting certain functions for safety.
Main Controller Error Code List (67-1 to 71-1)
① Lift Height Switch Errors
■ 67-1: Lift Height Switch Open / Short Error
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Open circuit or short circuit detected in the lift height switch
- Symptoms:
- Partial mast control limitation
- Travel control limitation
- Lift height and load-sensing turn speed control are restricted
■ 67-5: 800 mm Lift Height Switch Short Error
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Short circuit detected in the 800 mm lift height detection switch
- Symptoms:
- Slow travel (speed limitation)
② Lift Height Sensor Errors
■ 68-1: Lift Height Sensor Open Error
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Lift height sensor signal is not detected (open circuit)
- Symptoms:
- When only the maximum lift height restriction is active: lift speed is limited
- If simple lift height limitation or simple automatic lift stop is enabled, lift operation stops
(V-mast equipped trucks only) - Partial mast control limitation
- Travel control limitation
- Lift height and load-sensing turn speed control are restricted
■ 68-2: Lift Height Sensor Short Circuit Error
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Short circuit detected in the lift height sensor circuit
■ 68-3: Lift Height Sensor Timeout Error
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Lift height sensor signal is not detected within the specified time
■ 68-4: Lift Height Sensor Lowest Position Error
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Abnormal detection of the lowest lift position
- Symptoms:
- Simple automatic lift stop position may shift
(V-mast equipped trucks only) - Partial mast control limitation
- Travel control limitation
- Lift height and load-sensing turn speed control are restricted
- Simple automatic lift stop position may shift
■ 68-5: Lift Height Sensor Matching Value Error
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Inconsistency detected between lift height sensor signals
- Symptoms:
- Simple automatic lift stop position may shift
(V-mast equipped trucks only) - Partial mast control limitation
- Travel control limitation
- Lift height and load-sensing turn speed control are restricted
- Simple automatic lift stop position may shift
③ Position Correction Error
■ 71-1: Tire Angle Sensor Open Error
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Tire angle sensor signal is not detected (open circuit)
- Symptoms:
- Knob position correction does not function
Summary
Error codes 67-1 to 71-1 are associated with
lift height control, travel limitation, automatic control, and position correction functions,
which are essential for safe and efficient forklift operation.
Even if travel is still possible, operating the truck under these restricted conditions may lead to
reduced safety and lower work efficiency.
If these errors occur, it is recommended to inspect lift height sensors, switches, related wiring, and control signals promptly.
