Load Sensor / Lift & Tilt Control Errors (61-1 to 66-1)

Toyota electric forklifts (8FB10–8FB20 series), focusing on
load sensor, lift, and tilt control errors (61-1 to 66-1).

These error codes are related to mast operation and load-handling safety control.
In most cases, the forklift does not stop completely, but certain functions are limited or disabled to ensure safe operation.

• Wrench light flashing
  → A fault has been detected, and the system is limiting certain functions for safety.

① Load Sensor Errors

■ 61-1: Load Sensor Open Error

• Indicator: Wrench flashing
• Description: Possible disconnection or wiring failure of the load sensor
• Symptoms:
  • Partial mast control limitation
  • Travel control limitation
  • Lift height and load-sensing turn speed control are restricted

② Tilt Angle Sensor Errors

■ 62-1: Tilt Angle Sensor Open Error

• Indicator: Wrench flashing
• Description: Tilt angle sensor signal is not detected (open circuit)
• Symptoms:
  • Partial mast control limitation

• Indicator: Wrench flashing
• Description: Short circuit detected in the tilt angle sensor circuit
• Symptoms:
  • Partial mast control limitation

③ Tilt Switch Errors

■ 63-1: Tilt Switch Forward/Backward Simultaneous Short Error

• Indicator: Wrench flashing
• Description: Forward and backward tilt signals are detected simultaneously
• Symptoms:
  • Partial mast control limitation

■ 63-2: Tilt Switch Forward Continuous Short Error

• Indicator: Wrench flashing
• Description: Forward tilt switch signal remains ON abnormally
• Symptoms:
  • Partial mast control limitation

■ 64-1: Lift Solenoid Open Error

• Indicator: Wrench flashing
• Description: Disconnection detected in the lift solenoid circuit
• Symptoms:
  • Lift lowering stops

• Indicator: Wrench flashing
• Description: Short circuit detected in the lift solenoid circuit
• Symptoms:
  • Lift lowering stops

• Description: Abnormality detected in the lift solenoid drive circuit
• Symptoms:
  • Lift operation may still be possible during OPS activation (standard lever)
  • Lift lowering may stop on trucks equipped with Simple Automatic Lift Stop (OPT)

• Description: Mismatch detected between tilt angle sensor signals
• Symptoms:
  • Partial mast control limitation

Error codes 61-1 to 66-1 are critical safety-related errors associated with
mast operation, load handling, and tilt control.

To prevent unsafe operation, the forklift limits certain functions automatically.
If these errors occur, it is recommended to inspect sensors, solenoids, wiring, and signal consistency as soon as possible.
