Yaw Rate Sensor / Swing Control Errors

the yaw rate sensor and swing control system.

This information mainly applies to
Toyota electric forklifts (8FB10–8FB20 series).

These errors may cause symptoms such as:

  • Swing lock does not operate
  • Swing lock remains engaged and cannot be released

Since these conditions directly affect vehicle stability and operational safety,
proper understanding and early inspection are essential.


Indicator Lamp Meanings

  • Wrench light flashing
    → A fault has been detected, and control is restricted for safety.

Main Controller Error Code List (52-1 to 55-1)


① Yaw Rate Sensor Errors (52 Series)

52-1: Yaw Rate Sensor Open Error

  • Indicator: Wrench flashing
  • Description: Yaw rate sensor circuit open
  • Symptoms: Swing lock does not operate

52-2: Yaw Rate Sensor Short Error

  • Indicator: Wrench flashing
  • Description: Yaw rate sensor circuit short
  • Symptoms: Swing lock does not operate
