Charging / Battery / Power Supply Errors

In this article, we explain main controller–related error codes associated with
charging systems, battery monitoring, and power supply circuits.
This information mainly applies to
Toyota electric forklifts (8FB10–8FB20 series).
These errors may cause issues such as:
- Charging cannot be performed
- Battery status is not displayed correctly
- Display turns off
- Steering becomes heavy
Understanding these error codes helps prevent unexpected downtime and safety risks at job sites.
Indicator Lamp Meanings
- Wrench light flashing
→ A fault has been detected and some functions may be restricted for safety. - UP LED flashing
→ A charging system abnormality has been detected. - BT O/H (Battery Overheat) light ON
→ Battery temperature is excessively high.
Main Controller Error Code List (F6-5 to FF-2)
① Charging System Errors
F6-5: Onboard Charger Charging Current Error
- Indicator: UP LED flashing / Wrench flashing
- Description: Abnormal charging current detected in the onboard charger
- Symptoms: Charging stops
② Battery Current Sensor Errors
FB-1: Battery Current Sensor Neutral Error
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Battery current sensor neutral position abnormality
- Symptoms:
- Power meter function disabled
- Accumulated power meter function disabled
- Battery data log function partially disabled
- Battery capacity indication may become inaccurate after recharging
FB-2: Battery Current Sensor Overcurrent Error
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Overcurrent detected by the battery current sensor
- Symptoms:
- Power meter function disabled
- Accumulated power meter function disabled
- Battery data log function partially disabled
- Battery capacity indication may become inaccurate after recharging
③ Battery Temperature Error
FC-1: Battery Electrolyte Temperature Abnormally High
- Indicator: BT O/H light ON / Wrench flashing
- Description: Battery electrolyte temperature excessively high
- Symptoms: Reduced travel performance, slow acceleration
④ Power Supply Circuit Errors
FF-1: Display Power Supply Circuit Overcurrent
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Overcurrent detected in display power supply circuit
- Symptoms: Display turns off
FF-2: Steering Angle Sensor Power Supply Circuit Overcurrent
- Indicator: Wrench flashing
- Description: Overcurrent detected in steering angle sensor power supply circuit
- Symptoms:
- Steering becomes heavy
- Knob position correction is not performed
